This is a cute anime about a boy named Natsume Takashi, a boy who can see spirits. He gets passed around from relative to relative. He gets a book that once belonged to his grandmother Reiko; it contains the names of spirits that his grandmother defeated. He befriends a spirit named Madara who in the human world is a cat named Nyako Sensei. With the help of his friends he tries to return the names that are contained in the book.
This anime is like no other. There is no romance, just a boy trying to fit in and trying to make his new life work with this new “foster parents.” I give this a 5 star. It just makes you feel good and gets away from the romance, action fighting, blood and gore.

The demon Overload Satan who was in a losing battle with the church decides to flee with his general Alsiel to another dimension. Little did they know they would end up in Tokyo. Hot on their tails, Hero Emilia tracks them down to try and stop what ever plans they have in mind.
I almost stopped watching this around episode 9. The story was strong at the beginning but lost its momentum. Come on, a Demon Overlord can’t get back to his own dimension? I’ll give them credit that they do figure it out eventually, but all the talks of going back? Yet, they do nothing about it? Just annoyed me. They only brought in more characters with more complicated background stories to tell. It was only 13 episodes, might as well finish 4 more episodes. I was hoping it would end strong but, the ending was weak! I hope that when they do make a season 2 it fills in those gaps. This might be one of those animes where I would continue to watch just for the sake of seeing how the story line goes. Over all I would give this 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Vash the stampede aka the humanoid typhoon, a wanted criminal with a $60,000,000,000 bounty on his head. A drifter leaving destruction in every town he comes in contact with. You wouldn’t think so at first since he’s an imbecile. He gets followed by two insurance agents, Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson who try to minimize the damage.
I first saw this anime on FUNimation, but it would come on so late at night that I had to find a way to watch it and I did. I was not disappointed. It reminds me of Kenshin a little bit, except they gun fight. He is also a drifter like Kenshin, trying to do good to make up for all the destruction. Trigun is on my top three of favorite animes. Two thumbs up and recommend this anime to all ages.

It takes place in 1945, during World War II. We have all read it in school books and have seen movies, but here it is in an anime movie. Two brothers, Seita and Setsuko, must set out to find food, water and shelter, since losing their mother and home during the Kobe air bombings. Despite all their circumstances they still find kind, friendly people.
My first anime movie that has brought out so many emotions. You get to see the aftermath of the war and how people, kids and the elderly were struggling to get by. This hit the hardest for me because I lived in Japan. I give this anime a two thumbs up, but I could never watch this anime again, just because of the pure hard emotions that are felt from watching this anime.

Makoto Itou and Kotonoha Katsura ride the same train everyday. Unknown to Kotonoha Katsura, Makoto is in love with her. Makoto being the shy type asks his friend Sekai Saionji to help him. This anime was cute at first but by the middle of it the trio started acting a little funny. I couldn’t understand what was going on — too many secrets. At the end it all made sense again, but how it ended left me a little stunned. Overall, I gave this anime a two thumbs up, but I would never watch this anime again just because of how twisted the plot was.
Hi! Welcome to my blog! It will mostly be about the many different animes I have seen. I first started watching anime in the early 2000s. I believe my first anime I started to watch was, Rurouni Kenshin. I had no idea what anime was about, even though I had lived in Japan for 3 years. Thank you to my friend J.B for getting me into anime!
So, Rurouni Kenshin is an action/romantic anime. It’s about a wandering samurai trying to redeem himself by doing good deeds to make up for his bloody assassin past. During his travels he meets new friends Kamiya Kaoru, Sagara Sanosuke, Takani Megumi and Myojin Yahiko. At, first I was a tad confused about his past and wondering if they were ever going to go into full detail about it. My friend told me I had to watch the OVAs’, it goes into further details about how he became the way he is now and how he got that awesome scar on his cheek. I give this anime 2 thumbs up. Who does not like samurai fighting with a bit of romance?
P.S I promised my fairy academy family that I would try to not spoil anything for them. So I hope I did alright on my first post.
